Kirol Metodologi LAB Presents the 2026/2027 Season Alongside 33 Sports Clubs and Organisations in Getxo

On 8 October, Kirol Metodologi LAB held a meeting to present the 2026/2027 season, bringing together representatives from 33 sports clubs and organisations in Getxo. The event was marked by active participation, the exchange of ideas and a shared commitment to further developing local sport.
The session provided an opportunity to review the work carried out so far, showcase new developments and tools created for different organisations, and present the main areas of focus for the upcoming season.
A Space Supporting Sports Clubs and Organisations
During the presentation, Gari explained how Kirol Metodologi LAB has evolved. Getxo Kirolak aims to help sports clubs and organisations improve their working methods, adopt new technologies and optimise their internal operations.
One of the key messages of the meeting was the importance of providing solutions tailored to the reality of each organisation. Every sport and club has its own characteristics, needs and objectives. That is why LAB promotes a personalised, collaborative approach built on the knowledge and experience of sports organisations.
In this regard, LAB aims to become a point of reference where clubs can access guidance, tools and resources to improve their day-to-day operations and support the development of their athletes.
New Tools and Projects Tailored to Each Sport
One of the main highlights of the event was the presentation of progress made on LAB's collaborative projects with sports organisations in Getxo.
Initiatives are currently being developed in collaboration with clubs and organisations such as Getxo Futbola, Bizkerre, Getxo Rugby, Getxo Igeriketa, Iruka Karate, Getxo Irristan and Romo Eskubaloia. These collaborations focus on designing specific methodologies and tools to improve sports planning, training organisation and the monitoring of day-to-day activities.
The solutions presented included various season-planning tools, systems for organising tasks and exercises, and tools for recording training sessions, tracking attendance and monitoring sports development processes.
The aim of these developments is to simplify the work of coaches, coordinators and sports managers by providing practical resources that address the real needs of each organisation.
Innovation and Technology in the Service of Sports Expertise
Technology and artificial intelligence also played an important role in the presentation.
LAB highlighted the potential of these tools to streamline processes, facilitate planning and improve information management within sports organisations.
However, one fundamental principle was emphasised: technology should support sports expertise, not replace it.
For this reason, LAB's solutions are built around each club's methodologies, experience and technical criteria, ensuring that innovation strengthens each organisation's identity and working model.
The importance of protecting each organisation's own knowledge, respecting its intellectual property and ensuring the responsible handling of personal data was also highlighted, particularly when dealing with information relating to minors, including their health data.
New Challenges and Objectives for the 2026/2027 Season
After reviewing the progress made, the meeting also served to present the main areas of work that will shape the new season.
LAB's objectives for the 2026/2027 season include promoting collaborative projects with sports organisations, bringing in new specialists and partners, and organising training sessions and knowledge-sharing events.
These initiatives aim to strengthen the support provided to clubs, encourage shared learning and create new development opportunities for Getxo's sporting community.
LAB also intends to expand its reach by building relationships with professionals, institutions and projects in other regions.
This approach reflects a long-term commitment to establishing a sustainable model that can evolve alongside the changing needs of sport and position LAB as an international benchmark in sports methodology and innovation.
Institutional Engagement: Key to Continued Growth
Alongside the presentation of projects and objectives, one of the key highlights of the event was the involvement of the participating clubs and institutions.
The participation of 33 sports organisations demonstrated their interest in exploring the opportunities offered by LAB and contributing to the development of new initiatives.
During the meeting, participants shared their concerns, needs and ideas to help ensure that LAB's work continues to focus on practical solutions that can be applied to clubs' everyday activities.
LAB extended an open invitation to all organisations to continue sharing their ideas and actively participate in shaping the project, helping make this space their own.
At Kirol Metodologi LAB, we would like to thank all 33 participating organisations for their commitment, involvement and interest in continuing to build this shared project together.
With new challenges ahead and the continued collaboration of local clubs, Kirol Metodologi LAB has embarked on the 2026/2027 season with the aim of continuing to grow, innovate and contribute to the future of sport in Getxo.
