About SML
From Getxo, in the Basque Country, Sport Methodology LAB is born, the world's first methodological laboratory. Created by Getxo Kirolak, together with the Basque Government, KML is a pioneering space designed so that any club, entity or institution that wishes to develop its own methodology can do so hand in hand with leading specialists.
We partner with sports organizations in Euskadi and in any territory, adapting our processes to the reality and needs of each project.
We are distinguished by an innovative approach that integrates methodological knowledge, technology applied to sport and sustainable development models, creating structures that create a lasting legacy and build identity. We have extensive experience in both elite clubs and grassroots football.
We design consultancies and projects that allow clubs, governments and entities to build solid methodologies, incorporate technologies in an accessible way and train experts capable of generating new work models.
Our work is based on three fundamental pillars: specialized consulting, development of tech-driven methodological projects, and complementary activities (events, conferences, tournaments or technical training) that strengthen, amplify and provide sustainability to each project.
We are accompanied by an ecosystem of internal and external experts of the highest level (methodologists, professionals from the business, technology, communication and more fields), together with a network of partners in sport, facilities, health, marketing and training. All of them add value so that each solution created in the LAB can be implemented effectively and generate real impact in Getxo, in Euskadi and in any context where we work.

For almost four decades, I have dedicated my life to understanding sports education and building methodologies that transform how we train. I have worked in more than 20 countries and partnered with organizations around the world, always with the same purpose: ensuring that any person, in any context, has access to a clear, structured, and effective way to teach and learn sport.
My journey began at age 14, coaching without knowledge or tools. That challenge marked my life: no one should ever face a training process without a methodology to guide them.
Since then, I have focused my career on creating models applicable to different levels, genders, and disciplines, with the dream—perhaps romantic, but deeply real—that my town and my country become global benchmarks in methodological development.
Sport Methodology LAB was born precisely from that experience and from a need I identified over 38 years: the urgency for sport to have solid, updated, and adaptable methodologies, and professionals capable of designing, implementing, and teaching them. Training methodologists is training the future.
I am just the visible face of an extraordinary team: specialists in methodology, technology, business, communication, and multiple areas that support this project. A team prepared to provide comprehensive 360° support to sports entities from Getxo and the Basque Country to anywhere in the world. Together, we make the Lab a space for real development, with impact and long-term vision.
